Arbitration & Mediation
Overview
Arbitration & Mediation
Arbitration is a core strength of the chambers. Our Head of Chambers is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and has been nominated to the SAARC Arbitration Council’s Panel of Arbitrators. We act as counsel in domestic and international arbitrations and as arbitrator or mediator where appointed.
Services offered
- Drafting arbitration and dispute resolution clauses
- Counsel in arbitrations under the Arbitration Act 2001 and institutional rules (BIAC, SARCO, ICC, SIAC, LCIA)
- Construction, infrastructure and energy disputes, including FIDIC-based claims
- Applications to court for interim measures and appointment of arbitrators
- Setting aside and enforcement of domestic and foreign awards
- Mediation and negotiated settlement
- Appointment as sole or party-nominated arbitrator
Why clients need us
Arbitration is only as good as the clause that created it and the counsel who runs it. We have been on both sides of the table.
