Legal Team
The people behind your case
The Legacy Attorneys is a chambers, not a sole practice. Our Head of Chambers sets strategy and appears in the most demanding matters; a team of barristers, advocates, associates, legal researchers and consultants carries each matter forward day to day.
Lawyers are organised by practice group so that your corporate, tax, dispute or family matter is handled by people who do that work constantly. For complex matters, groups work together under a single lead.

Barrister Hosain founded The Legacy Attorneys in 2006 and has led it since. He was enrolled as an Advocate by the Bangladesh Bar Council in 2004, before the High Court Division in 2006 and before the Appellate Division in 2021. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn in 2014, having passed the Bar Transfer Test with distinction at BPP University, London. He holds an LL.B. (Honours) and an LL.M. (First Class) from the University of Dhaka and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, London.
He began his career in 2002 in the chambers of Mr. Justice Mamnoon Rahman, and over more than twenty years in practice has acted as counsel in commercial, construction and energy arbitrations for claimants and respondents (government entities, statutory bodies, multinational corporations and private clients) before tribunals comprising former Chief Justices of Bangladesh, judges of both Divisions of the Supreme Court and Senior Advocates. His public-sector work includes tendered legal and arbitration services for the Roads and Highways Department, and he has served as legal counsel to major multinational telecommunications companies.
Before coming to the Bar he served in the Bangladesh Civil Service (Taxation) as an Assistant Commissioner of Taxes at the National Board of Revenue, an experience that informs the chambers’ tax and regulatory practice to this day. In 2025 the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs nominated him to the Panel of Arbitrators of the SAARC Arbitration Council (SARCO), alongside former Justices of the Supreme Court, and since April 2026 he has acted as counsel for the Anti-Corruption Commission of Bangladesh before the Supreme Court. He accepts appointments as arbitrator and counsel.
